Shape & Silhouette
Toe box shape and heightCRITICALCompare against retail reference. The toe box is the most visible difference in low-quality batches — should match the authentic profile exactly.
Overall silhouette and proportionsStep back and look at the full shoe. Does the overall shape look right compared to retail photos?
Heel tab height and shapeCRITICALHeel tab should match the correct height and shape for the model. Too tall or too short is a common batch defect.
Logo & Branding
Swoosh / logo thickness and shapeCRITICALLogo should be the correct thickness and not warped. Stitching lines should be clean and evenly spaced.
Font size and placement on heel tabText on heel tab should be the correct size and font. Check spacing between letters.
Insole print clarity and alignmentInsole print should be sharp, correct colour, and centred. Blurry or off-centre print is a common defect.
Materials & Finish
Colourway accuracy under natural lightAsk for photos in natural lighting if the agent shot in studio light. Colours can look dramatically different.
Sole colour and textureCRITICALCheck the outsole for correct colour matching. Yellowing, wrong shade, or texture differences are red flags.
Stitching quality and consistencyStitching should be even, tight, and clean. Look for loose threads, uneven spacing, or skipped stitches.
No glue residue or excess glue marksCheck the midsole-upper join area for glue marks. Excess glue is common on lower-tier batches.

Lace shape and aglet finishLaces should be the correct shape (flat or round per model) and aglets should be clean and not bent.
Size tag and SKU match your orderCheck the inside tag confirms the size you ordered and the correct SKU for the colourway.

Hardware colour and finishCRITICALGold, silver or ruthenium hardware should be consistent colour with no spotting, tarnishing or colour variation.
Zipper glides smoothlyTest the zipper in QC photos — ask for a video if possible. Should glide without catching.
Clasp or turn-lock mechanismClasp should operate cleanly. Check for scratches or imperfect finish on the lock mechanism.
Logo & Branding
Logo font size and spacingCRITICALLogo lettering should match retail exactly. Look for correct font weight, letter spacing and alignment.
Logo embossing depth and clarityEmbossed logos should have the correct depth — not too shallow or too deep.
Serial number or date code (if applicable)Check the date code format matches the correct brand standard for the model and year.
Construction
Stitching on corners and handlesCRITICALCorner stitching is under the most stress. Count stitches per inch — should be even and tight.
Leather texture and grain consistencyCaviar, lambskin or canvas should have consistent texture across the whole bag — no uneven patches.
Interior lining colour and textureInterior should be the correct colour and material. Check for staining or wrinkled lining.
Shape & Overall
Bag structure and shapeThe bag should hold its shape correctly. Check for sagging, asymmetry or incorrect proportions.
Colour accuracy vs retail referenceCompare the bag colour against retail photos in similar lighting. Check dye consistency.
Dust bag and packaging includedConfirm dust bag, authenticity card and box are included if ordered with these items.

Print & Logo
Print alignment and centringCRITICALGraphics and logos should be centred or positioned correctly. Off-centre prints are immediately visible when worn.
Print colour accuracyColour should match retail reference. Faded or wrong-shade prints are common on lower-quality items.
Label / tag print qualityCRITICALCheck the label font, colour, and text accuracy. The label is often the easiest tell on rep clothing.
Construction
Stitching quality and consistencyLook for even, tight stitching throughout. Check cuffs, hem, and collar seams in particular.
Fabric weight and textureQuality reps use similar weight fabric to retail. Ask if uncertain — the agent can often provide fabric weight.
Hem and cuff finishingHem should be straight and even. Cuffs on hoodies should have the correct ribbing weight.
Sizing & Colour
Size label matches orderConfirm the inside size tag matches what you ordered. Chinese sizing — remember to check the conversion.
Colour consistency across garmentNo uneven dyeing, bleach spots, or colour variation across the fabric.
No loose threads or pillingCheck for loose threads, especially around printed areas, and any pilling on the fabric surface.
Pockets and zips function correctlyIf the item has pockets or zippers, confirm they work and are straight.

Dial text sharpness and fontCRITICALAll text on the dial — brand name, model, "Swiss Made", etc. — should be razor sharp under macro. Blurry text is a critical defect.
Date window alignment (if applicable)CRITICALThe date window should be perfectly centred. Misalignment is immediately visible and a common defect.
Hour marker alignment and finishApplied hour markers should be straight, evenly sized, and have a clean finish with no glue showing.
Hands finish and alignmentHands should be the correct colour, shape and finish. Sweep second hand should move smoothly.
Case & Bracelet
Case finish — brushed vs polishedCRITICALCheck which surfaces should be brushed and which polished for the specific model. Many reps get this wrong.
Bracelet link quality and fitLinks should fit tightly with no rattle. Check for rough finishing on the inside of the bracelet.
Crown knurling and logoThe crown should have correct knurling depth and the brand logo should be visible and sharp.
Caseback engravings (if shown)Caseback text and engravings should be sharp and correctly spaced for the model.
Function & Overall
Movement runs smoothlyConfirm from the QC video that the watch is running. Ask for a video showing the sweep hand if not provided.
Crystal clarity — no bubbles or scratchesThe crystal should be perfectly clear with no scratches, bubbles or distortion visible.
