Customs is the part of rep buying that generates the most anxiety and the most misinformation. Here is my honest experience after hundreds of orders to EU, UK and US: most packages clear without issue if the declared value is sensible and the declared contents are generic. "Clothing and accessories" is what most top agents declare by default. Most customs officers are not inspecting individual items for brand accuracy — they are looking at declared value against actual parcel weight and dimensions.
The risk profile is genuinely different by destination. US customs is relatively permissive for personal imports under $800. EU customs (particularly DE and FR) has tightened significantly since 2022 — both on inspection rates and VAT collection. UK post-Brexit has its own import rules that are worth calculating before ordering. The calculator below uses current 2026 threshold data for each country.
